Training of Trainer (ToT), Emergency Preparedness and Response

As a part of WFP's Emergency Preparedness and Response Project; a five days Training of Trainers (ToT) has been started at Kathmandu. The training is being conducted by Institute of Crisis Management Studies (ICMS), Samarpan Academy, Dhumbarahi. 

The training has been jointly organized by Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and WFP. The main purpose of the training is to develop competent trainers from different organizations and humanitarian agencies including participants from province 1, 3, 5 and 7. A total of 30 participants from different organization namely  Nepal Police, Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, NEOC, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Nepal Food Corporation, Nepal Red Cross Society, UNICEF, OXFAM, ADRA, HELVETAS, AIN, WFP, Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Nepalganj and Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan city are participating in the training. 

The training focuses on teaching learning methodologies, adult learning theory and practices, training cycle and practical training sessions. Subject matter experts from wide range of topics related to Emergency Preparedness and Response including Emergency Logistics will deliver the sessions. Guest speakers will deliver sessions on relevant subject and topic. 

It is expected that the participant will be able to develop qualities of an efficient and effective trainer and will be able to deliver all types of training especially the emergency logistics training.
